Steve is a founding member of square metre and with his background in quantity surveying, is responsible for the financial management of the business. He has been instrumental in developing the business culture and work ethic to ensure that clients’ expectations are exceeded and relationships are maintained.
Steve has been instrumental in growing the business over the years and has established a track record of delivering commercial, residential and heritage projects.
Oliver has a degree in construction management, developing his career as a contracts manager with previous positions as a commercial manager, as well as adding valuable experience in both project delivery and commercial management.
With over 20 years of multi-disciplinary roles in new build, refurbishment, commercial, retail and residential sectors; his expertise is in complete project delivery whilst focusing on client satisfaction.
Jason joined the square metre team in 2006, to jointly develop with Oliver the Contracts Manager role within the business and provide a consistent delivery process from tender to completion.
Jason’s background is in quantity surveying and through his 25yrs of working in the industry he has been involved in the management and surveying of a wide range of projects including high quality private residential, hotels and retail, through to more traditional commercial fit out and refurbishment.
Mandhir joined the team in 2012 as the final piece in the jigsaw, fitting in and complimenting the skills of fellow directors and team members. He has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge over the last 20 years with previous construction industry leaders and global organisations renowned for their customer service skills in exceeding clients’ expectations.
Mandhir brings this to the fore at square metre, with a focus on all Sales & Marketing, Business Development and Client Relationship Management.

Since forming in 2003 our core business focus has been delivering Cat A&B commercial projects under a number of different procurement routes including traditional, design & build and 2-stage, using all forms of JCT contracts. We have extensive experience in every aspect of fit out, from pre-construction through to handover, aftercare and post completion works.
Our clients work in various market sectors including Financial, Insurance, Law Companies, Technology, Retail, Petrochemical, and Arts & Media where we have successfully delivered in excess of 100 Cat B projects. We have also completed works for a number of property developers / letting agents where we have undertaken the refurbishment or fit out of common areas or general office floors to Cat A.
The vast majority of our projects are undertaken in occupied premises and our management processes and procedures have been perfected over the years to reflect the challenges of delivering projects in an occupied environment.

We are well on our way to our strongest year yet. Having reached our target turnover for 2014 of £20,000,000, we are forecasting £25,000,000 for 2015. Outstanding work from a team that’s stronger than ever.
The last few weeks have been outstanding for square metre.
square metre have won 2 fantastic CAT A fit out projects. One project is located close to Oxford Street and the other located near Liverpool Street at 155 Bishopsgate.
Strengthening our relationship with Berenberg Bank, we have won a CAT B fit out to a newly undertaken floor and alterations to floors we have worked on previously in 60 Threadneedle Street.
Our latest project win is for another international bank, who have taken the 8th floor of the prestigious Walbrook Building.
Something that all members of square metre staff are already well aware of; we’re an excellent employer and have made Building’s Good Employer Guide’s “companies to work for” list.
We’re extremely pleased with the recognition that we’ve worked so hard to foster over the last decade, and our family “outside of the home” mentality only continues to grow.

Heron Place W1
square metre have been appointed to convert 10,000ft2 of commercial space into five luxury residential apartments a leading property developer. The project started with the strip out of the area in April and will complete at the end of this year. The project also involves the recladding of various elevations of the tower to enhance its overall appearance.
square metre have secured the ground floor Cat A refurbishment of 17 Connaught Place adding to our portfolio of projects completed with Savills in the last 12months.
square metre beat a number of large industry competitors to secure this prestigious refurbishment in New Bond Street on behalf of LVMH Services who own the Louis Vuitton brand among many others. The project involves the Cat A/B fit out of the upper floors and the complete refurbishment of the reception area using specialist high end finishes.
5 project wins in one week caps off an intensive tendering period at square metre.
The first of which is another high end residential refurbishment. Our continued success in winning projects in this sector is attributed to the immaculate delivery of a project in Queen Annes Gate last year.
The remaining projects are in the commercial sector in the city and west end.

square metre have been chosen to undertake the full refurbishment of a grade 2 listed 1920’s ‘art deco’ house in Harley Street for a private client. The works involve the full restoration of original joinery etc. Other original features within the building (ie bronze fan coil casings etc) will need to be re-made.
The building is circa 10,000ft2 with spaces reconfigured throughout to include a cinema room, garden room and roof terrace.
For any business, rebranding is a decision that is not taken lightly. With a new board of directors and the fact that we are celebrating a decade this year, we saw it as an opportunity to refresh our brand and image. Easter sees the final stages of the brand development with the launch of our new company logo, first viewed by our clients at lunches hosted by square metre at MIPIM earlier this month.
We are also pleased to launch our new website which replaces its rather outdated predecessor. The new format allows us to better showcase our project profiles and is more user friendly. We hope you like it.

Work starts on the new HQ for Westcon in Crawley. The Cat B project involves a mixture of office, meeting room and training space and the construction of a new reception and client demonstration room. The project is due for completion in May 2013.
